The Export Facilitation Centre, Chhattisgarh established by Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Chhattisgarh and Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd in collaboration with Indian Institute of Foreign Trade plays an important role in facilitating the budding and prosperous entrepreneurs of Chhattisgarh in International Business. This centre works on promotional, developmental and policy aspects of the state in enhancement of the state exports. This cell in the frontend will be channelising the entrepreneur’s dream of developing themselves as exporters with handholding support and necessary export-oriented information. Assistance and counselling will be given to these potential entrepreneurs related to domestic and International Trade towards promoting and developing export from Chhattisgarh.

Export Scenario of Chhattisgarh

The industrial sector of Chhattisgarh plays a vibrant role in building up the state economy. In the recent past, the state has seen a great boom in the industrial sector and is moving towards successful development of the export hub in the state for the growing and prosperous sectors. Chhattisgarh is in the central part of India. The state shares its border with Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra in the west, Uttar Pradesh in the north, Odisha and Jharkhand in the east, and Andhra Pradesh in the south. It is among the richest Indian states in terms of mineral wealth, with 28 varieties of major minerals, including diamonds. The state is rich in aluminum, iron and steel, iron ore and value-added products. It also has considerable mineral reserves of bauxite, limestone and quartzite. Chhattisgarh is the only state in India that produces tin concentrates. Apart from the mineral reserves, the agriculture and allied sectors along with the textile sector also contribute to the economic growth of the state.
