The Directorate of Industries & Commerce is Nodal Department for overall development of industrial sector in the state. The department plays developmental & facilitation role to attract industrial investments in the state. It focuses on creating an industry friendly environment and formulating suitable policies in the state aimed at propelling fast-paced modernisation & strengthening of the industrial units.

The department provides an interactive platform for synergistic coordination between investors and the Government. The department constitutes of five bodies in form of agency/boards/corporation, which enable the smooth transition of investors in the state.

Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd

Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) is a Government of Chhattisgarh undertaking (registered under the Companies Act, 1956) under the administrative control of Department of Commerce & Industry. CSIDC is the nodal agency to facilitate and promote industrial development in the State.

CSIDC actively promotes and helps in industrial development in Chhattisgarh. CSIDC is primarily involved in establishment, maintenance and upgradation of industrial areas and projects, Land allotment and acquisition, financial aid assistance, infrastructure development for conducive growth of businesses etc. It also conceptualizes, conceives, plans, implements and maintains various ‘mega’ infrastructural facilities in the region.
